OK So check it out..I know we all talk about using the Rane 57 but has anyone used or is planning to use a pioneer mixer?? I think Pioneer mixers are better used if you play alot of effects like trance/house dj's which im not but does anybody use this????? and if not then can you tell me what makes the 57 better?

both mixers are the shit i own both a 909 with SL-1 and a ttm57 to me is all about what you like and need. to each is own i always say.
here's my likes and dislikes

909 likes:
1. effects
2. digital screen
3. BPM TAP button
3. only pioneer mixer with up fader control adjustment

909 Dislikes
1 faders don't compare to Rane fader
2. u still need to have a SL-box and have to hook everything up
3. no MIDI or native control for Serato
4. if you use Serato u have to use your computer more compare to a 57
5. screen on mixer scratches easy and have to be careful
Rane TTM-57 Mixer
Likes
1. Built in Serato
2. Native Support (cue points and other controls on the mixer it self)
3. best faders in the game
4. Video baby with plugin
5. the sound quality is better then pioneer
6. easy set up and hook up
Dislikes
1. effects are the worst (takes time to learn how to set them up
2. if you work from club to club is not practical hooking up a mixer
3. the fader knobs need to replace first bash break easy (but are free from Rane)
4. the B&A buttons are small and don't light up and are hard to see in a dark nightclub

all and all i use my 57 more now then ever since i do video and i love it.
Side note both of this mixer are made to catered to scratch Djs

no problem man i love this mixers and there are really good mixers to compare and see witch one is better to each person .
I just hate when they try to compare a 57 to a djm-800 there really two mixers that are made for two different djs

I like the 909 crossfader better than the ranes
maybe because i learned how to crab on the 909
but i like the 909 for scratching
had mine since 2007 and have had no problems and the screen is good on mine thank GOD

ALL HAIL THE 909!!! Best in the Game for the traditional DJ who uses effects. Look up DJ Jazzy Jeff on Youtube

909 for me too, simplistic not to many buttons and the effects are pretty neat plus the size is great if you move around from different venues like i do.

I got both the 909 and the 57sl. I like the 909 better, if the 909 could control Serato it would be dangerous.

I have both mixers also. I must say I like the layout of the 909 better. It's alot easier to use effects. But I use my 57 ALOT more than my 909 because it's easier to hookup (no SL1 to hookup) and I like the crossfader a little better too. The 57's cut-in time is not as sharp as the 909. And in my opinion, it gives a smoother flare/crab scratch.
