  1. Where can I get conference itinerary?

This information will be posted on the website as the information becomes available. A complete schedule including all TOA panels, artist showcases, networking events, after-parties, listening sessions, and Ozone Awards activities will be available to all registrants, panelists, and accepted artists via the conference gift bag.

  1. Where are the venues of the events for the TOA’s?

Most of the venues for the TOA's are located in Downtown Houston. There will be maps and transportation provided for the Tastemakers during the weekend.

  1. Can artist not performing pass out promotional materials to conference participants?

Yes, we suggest business cards because press kits may be too bulky for people to carry around while traveling to the different venues and events.

  1. Why should I attend the TOA’s?

TJ's DJ's has welcomed over 1,000 DJs, artists, labels, models, producers, and other industry Tastemakers four times per year to its quarterly conferences. Meanwhile, OZONE Magazine built a reputation for becoming the voice of Southern music. Together, these Southern titans have become the crest for the wave of Southern acts crashing upon the beaches of the music industry. The time has now arrived for the pair to join forces to create The Annual TJ's DJ's Music Conference / OZONE Awards Weekend (TOAs). One of the main goals of the TOA's is to provide the opportunity for artists and other media outlets to network with industry veterans. Networking is still the most important aspect. The Artist wants to be discovered and the industry wants to discover the artist. The TOA's is the premier music event that brings together industry executives, musicians, DJ’s, media and music enthusiasts to be inspired, energized, discovered and educated in the business of music. The conference is open to the registered public but geared to the southern music industry.

  1. How do I find out about sponsorship for the TOA’s?

For performance or artist sponsorship please email song and contact info to Keith@tjsdjs.com. For all other sponsorship please TJs DJs Offices at 850.878.3634

  1. What is included in the registration for Weekend Inclusive Pass?

A WIP allows entry to all conference panels, afterparties, fashion show, performance showcases, Ozone Brunch and Ozone Awards and all events listed on the TOA's program itinerary.

  1. Are there any age limits on registration?

Registration is for all ages. Anyone can attend the panels and Ozone Awards; however we must respect the venues' rules and regulations on age limits. Therefore, it is best to contact the venue for their specific age restrictions.

  1. How were the nominees selected for the Ozone Awards?

A panel selected the nominees for the Ozone Awards and voting is open to the public. All voting must be done online HERE. The deadline for voting is coming soon, so vote now!

  1. What is the dress code for the Ozone Awards?

The dress code is formal. Remember this is a red carpet affair!

  1. Are there any student discounts?

Yes, students may register under registration. All students must fax a copy of summer/fall 2008 registration to 850.877.3110 Attn: Lakeisha Glinton or mail to TJ's DJ's Offices. Students discount of $200.00 will apply till August 3, 2008; $250.00 on site.

  1. How will you know that registration and payment were received?

You should receive a confirmation from Registration Officials within 5 business days after we receive your form and payment. This confirmation will have your unique registration ID and will be sent by email to the address provided on the registration form. If no email is specified, we will send confirmation by postal mail. The confirmation letter will serve as your receipt.

  1. Where and When is on-site registration?

On Site registration will take place in the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel on Friday from 4pm - 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 6pm.

  1. Can someone else pickup TOA’s passes?

No. The only exception is if there is a written request submitted via fax prior to August 3, 2008. This request must have a signed statement from the TOA Registrant authorizing a designated representative to pick up their passes and a copy of the registrant’s ID.

  1. What are the panelist titles and/or panelists?

Panelist information will be posted on website as soon as they are confirmed

  1. Do I need to be affiliated with any sort of record label (major/indie) or Performing Rights Organization to be able to submit?

    No, affiliation from either is not required. In fact, our main purpose is to
    promote unsigned acts. With out these types, our conference would not exist. Again, we ask solely for information purposes.

    1. What is the selection process for performance and/or CD packages?

      Once your package has been received and processed, it goes on to our listening committee, which is made up of various astute industry professionals. Here, it is evaluated through several rounds of listening and determined to be accepted or rejected.

    1. If I want to volunteer what do I need to do?

    To become a volunteer please email Volunteers@tjsdjs.com (subject line: TOA3). There will be a volunteers meeting on late July, in Houston at the Hilton Americas-Houston. Details will be given to those who inquire. Please note that registering does not guarantee you as a volunteer. You must be approved by the volunteer coordinator.

    1. If I’m interested in the Fashion Show, what do I need to do?

    All models, fashion designers or fashion show inquires should be sent to. If interested in being Promo Models or "Tasties" (Conference Hostesses), there will be a models casting call in late July in Houston at the Hilton Americas-Houston. Details will be posted as they become available. Please email Tasties@TJsDJs.com for more information.

    1. If I fill out a media, DJs or volunteer registration does that guarantee my registration for the TOA’s?

    No. Conference officials will verify each registration and an email confirmation will be sent with approval or rejection status.
